Reviewing polls that Americans think cutting taxes on the rich will create jobs is simple ridiculous. Most big corporations and rich people don’t pay any taxes anyway. General Electric pays less in taxes than teachers, truck drivers, and the guy who works at McDonalds. Since the idiot Reagan, the rich have paid less and less and wages and the number of jobs have decreased.
Jobs are not coming back. It is just going to get worse. Double dip recession … Baloney. Think Depression that will last decades. The US will default on the national debt. This is a certainty. The only variable is when.
But the rest of the world is not any better off. Many places are even worse but there is a great rush to the bottom. America should be very competitive in that race,
Have you looked at the list of clowns running for President in 2012, including the current clown in the White House. Pull any name out of the hat. The results will be the same because elections don’t matter. The country is run by the rich and powerful. People who have no idea there is no country without a prosperous population. Once enough of the population cannot sustain themselves there will be wholesale civil unrest — not because people are violent — because people have no choice.
America is not just doomed. It is a disaster and the amount of human suffering is going to increase and be just shocking to most. Tea baggers, Republicans, Democrats, everybody will be bewildered. Yet, this little old blog has been predicting it for years.
Those readers still doing ok, enjoy it while it lasts for you. For those already desperate, just remember it is the greed of the country that has destroyed it and that is destroying you.
Nearly one year ago the Gulf erupted with disaster. The oil is still coming out. People are sick and getting worse. Just like in Japan. This is the whole of American capitalism. Call it the greatest system on earth, and you will just be a fool.

The civil unrest is already evident in the sharp increase in reports (I don’t know where some of the police departments are getting their phony data about decreases in crime–just count the news stories, dummies) of family murder, domestic violence, suicide by cop, and all the other forms that despair takes when it has NO OUTLET.
In my city alone, there have been five reports since January of people killing their own children.
Meanwhile, DISH wants to sell me the new Charlie Sheen Channel, where I can watch sociopaths put the fun in fundamentally insane.
Smart phones want to sell me an app called “sell you sister to a Russian whiteslaver, and do it all online!”
Food prices are going up–why? Because they can.
Guys like Erik (maybe he’s Erik Prince’s own personal Mini Me?) manipulate the markets to further destabilize it and make a little dough for themselves and actually expect us to “understand” why they have to do so.
I use the name Janice for Janus. Unfortunately, I know history and even more unfortunately I know that when you start down a road you cannot avoid ending up at the logical end of that road unless you TURN OFF IT.

All I hear are dogs barking about Democrats, Republicans, abortion, socialism and sundry other trivia that in a few years we will only be able to view with nostalgia.
Oppose the rich. Tax tem into the middle class. Redistribute wealth until everybody has basic sustainability, including housing and health care.

When I was working my butt off educating children from the poorest square mile in the U.S. I didn’t even mind that I was paying 30% of my earnings as taxes. It is still fine with me if I barely make it, as long as I live in a society that is decent and cares about ALL people.
Ironically, when I tutored for a private academy in the richest square mile in the U.S., I met students who literally HATED their parents (I never saw this in the barrio/ghetto) and many who had such venal, cynical reasons for going to college that in one case I refused to teach one little prick!
Admin, the American people ARE deliberate idiots. I’m not sure why. I know my dad was a laborer who voted Republican. He was also racist.
But my mom kept his mouth shut around us and I guess I got all my respect for intelligence, reason, and other people from her. I also got a lot from great teachers, many of whom were liberal.
When America gives up brain-damaging its children with football, when it rebels against being literally poisoned by the food industry, and when the sale of newspapers and books (even if online) goes up to 80% of the population, THEN we can hope that sometime after that, politics will get straightened out.
Until then, why would you expect any of these idiots to do the right thing?
They are in a daze. They don’t know who is killing them. They experience schadenfreude and don’t even realize it is their own misery, immediate or imminent, that they are enjoying.
They don’t want a decent society. They want a sociopathic fantasy in which they can be dishonest, selfish and horrible and somehow they will be rich, admired and secure. Oh, wait, that’s Charlie Sheen’s lifestory.
So.
I see the greedy actions of the corporations, elites, and the government everyday and there effects on society. I’m am so shocked at how no one in this area seems to care about it at all. Maybe they don’t, maybe they have plenty of “fake” money. It’s all fake money anyway, just paper with a value some scumbag claims that it has written on it. I guess it’s easy to sit and watch the worms squirm when your in a protected booth safe from the elements of fear, starvation and down right rock bottom.
Of course they don’t care, their doing great!. I just hope to see them fall before I die, but as others have said, they won’t. They will just move on and leech off the next class, or country, or planet if they could find one.
I never truly understood what being a republican was all about until I read some of the blogs posted on this site. I don’t care for Obama’s tactics as he’s just printing money out of control and I don’t like the republicans views either. The rich should be taxed the hardest, not the lightest, that truly is insanity. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again knowing it’s not going to work but yet you continue to do it thinking you’ll get different results each time, and that is exactly what the US government is doing.
There is no reason to vote, as none of the candidates are worth a damn. It’s like vote for the over blown wind bag or the pathological liar. The choice is yours!
I have never voted, and don’t intend to start since its all rigged by the electoral collage anyway. They put who they want in there and that’s that. Obummer was put in there on purpose, to take the fall for the complete screw up and agenda filled nonsense of the Bush administration. Everyone wants to blame Obama for the current state of the “union”, at least the uninformed will, but I know better. Bush did it all, started a war we should have never been in all over oil and his family’s honor. Look where that got us, spent billions on funding all the wrong things. The man is a joke, he will go down in history as the biggest clown of them all.

I graduated from high school in 1999 with honors and took some classes at a community college. Did fairly well in English class, but I swear I’ve never seen some of the words you used before. I feel embarrassed and ashamed that my writing is so inferior in comparison. After reading yours and the other folks replies to some of the articles, this will probably be my last posting. I’ll continue to read the past articles all the same as I find them interesting and enlightening. I had to google that schadenfreude word, had no idea what it meant. Had forgotten what an Oligarchy was, 9 grade civics seems so far away now.
At least I know there are still a few intelligent people out there somewhere.
