Republicans Looking for a Landslide in November

On September 3, 2010, in congress, by admin

The polls are picking up for Republicans in the November mid-term elections.  Sadly, this isn’t surprising because the nearly 18 months of President Obama have left the country in a shit hole — today’s August employment report is likely to confirm.  Republicans have considerable responsibility to the disaster of the last 18 months, but so do the Democrats, and particularly Obama.  Overall, Republicans can be blamed for decades of mismanagement, unless the goal is to make rich people richer.

People are all shocked that jobs are not coming back and the lastest plan for stimulating the economy is little concerned with new jobs and putting people back to work.  They are considerably more concerned with tax cuts for the rich and hand outs for small companies.  The mantra of capitalism as a job creating mega machine continues — a false belief and a destined diaster for ordinary Americans.  But old ideas die hard — just look at how many people still believe in the god mythology even though little has been accomplished with the bullshit of prayer.

So, in just a couple of months there will be elections across the country and many — perhaps a substantial number — will likely elect a bunch of Republicans.  Yet, with Obama as President, little will be accomplished in the next two years — in fact, it will look far more like a very early 2012 election cycle than anything resembling governance.  Even if Republicans muster majorities in the House and/or Senate, it still is unlikely that anything much will result.  Obama can veto legislation and it is unlikely that any Congress that the Republicans can elect will not be able to override vetos.  So,  it will be stalemate city — again — and another two years will be wasted as unemployment soars, the economy weakens, and whatever profits result will be shared among the people who need them the least.  It is a song that everybody in America knows and it has been ringing in the collective ears for decades, particularly since the champion bozo Ronald Reagan wrote the first lyrics.

In addition to the usual cast of Republicans characters, the Tea Party has interjected a few super bozos into the mix.  The Nevada Senate race with certifiably nut case Sharron Angle and the Kentucky reincarnation of Ayn Rand as a man name Paul are certainly entertaining.  However, both could easily win and put the Republicans into policy areas — like dismantling the Education, Social Security, and Energy Departments — that even Newt Gingrich could not have imaged in 1994 when President Clinton and the Democrats took a trouncing.

It is too bad that politics can’t simply be viewed as entertainment — listening? Fox News — but the reality is that American politics hurts lots of people — and not just Americans.  Republicans — and apparently Obama as well — love wars throughout the world.   Nothing seems to get American Presidents more excited than sending off a few hundred thousands soliders to some hell hole to kill a bunch of people who could care less about America. America does its part to recruit the next batch of terrorists.  The recipients of the wrath don’t realize that America loves to kill people to harvest its insatiable desire of  natural resources or to open a market to lame McDonald hamburgers, greedy banks, or a pair of Nike shoes.

But capitalism makes America act like it does as it runs around the world killing people if they can’t force them to behave American style.  Iran heard the American proclamation and is in the process of building some nukes that it will likely stick up the ass of Israel and/or America to demand respect.

America is Doomed.

Labor day is upon us and it is safe to say that there are 700,000 less americans working this year than last year. There are 16.1 million americans in an organized union. 1.2 million are in the Steel Workers union the biggest in the U.S. 1,696 members in the NFL players association.Canada celebrates Labor Day the same time as the U.S.

I blame Obama for taking Janet and leaving that butt-ugly bitch Jan Brewer to take over in Az. The harm she has caused has far outweighed anything good that Napolitano has accomplshed. Homeland security – all the aiport delays and scanners? That croc of shit is as phony as the so-called terrorists who pulled off 9-11. Maybe they did, but with plenty of help with the Bush admin and the CIA.

Kramer — I agree. Napolitano is nothing special either, but better than Brewer.

Admin: the numbers were not encouraging no matter what spin gets put on them. They are actually becoming unspinable. They are what they are. And true, the jobs are not coming back. More and more people are realizing this by the day and they will lash out in November at who the percieve the culprits to be.

I believe that the RepuKikans will make gains. I’m not sure that they will be as great as they anticipate because of the anti incumbant factor. Some RepuKes will also bite the dust. But the end result will still be gridlock. Nothing will be done during Obungholes final 2 lame brain, I mean lame duck years as prezeedunt. A truely wasted 4 years in all.

There are also alot of people like me who might not participate in the election process this time. I didn’t vote in the primaries and may not vote in the general election. I’ve concluded that it is a waste of time and gasoline. Time and money could better be spent playing the lottery or having sex, or fishing and drinking some cold beer.

I hope that you will post this link and I hope that it opens. Everyone should read this. It concerns free trade with China, and the absolute devestation it has wrought upon AmeriKa. The problem is that it is too late. It cannot be reversed or repaired. They own us and “the debtor is a slave to the lender”. We need a new type of an economy. I’m not sure what but it will have to focus solely on the future, not the present nor the past. The glory days are gone, like the repo’d McMansions I drive past on the weekends. The new economy will have to be green and be weened from the tit of Big Oil. I don’t know how fast this can be done but there is going to be hell to pay and alot of pain in the meantime.

And OH Yes!! Happy Labor Day everybody. Do something! Relax a little. Fire up the BarB. Slam dunk a few cold ones. Eat wild caught Georgia Shrimp. Have some fun because the grind returns on Tuesday.

I will vote in California for Jerry Brown, Barbara Boxer, and to decriminalize marijuana. My votes for Brown and Boxer are mostly because I can’t stand their opponents — greedy, self-serving Whitman and the former CEO from HP that laid off tens of thousands of employees in order to pocket a cool $75 million.

Go for it Admin. I respect you because you stick to your guns, even though you don’t own any, and don’t want me to own any either. At least you’re honest. I regret your vote choice, but that is what you have chosen. You must agree with me that we have very little choice anymore. I wrote to my “representative” who really doesn’t represent me. I told him that I think it is time to pull the “flush handle” on the floaters in “Washin’ton, DeeCee”. Time to watch all of the wet turds swirl, then go down the pipe.

I agree. Little choice. Sad indeed.

I remember saying to a professional wimpoid Liberal working at a local Barnes & Noble, that Amerika was the victim of a Fascist coup in 2000, and we were entering a Nazi period after the frenzied Weimarism of the Clinton years. ‘No!’ said the Liberal wimp, ‘That was Germany! Amerika is not like Nazi Germany!’ Of course not; it’s bigger & more dangerous than the Nazis ever were. We just need to get cracking on the mass extermination of Muslims and Lefties like me. Yes, we will elect the Republik Party again so that they take away the money they forget to steal during the Bush Administration. No one will have jobs, we’ll have no more unemployment benefits, and after the country is thoroughly bankrupt, we can all choose status as Serfs in order to forgive our credit card debt. The border fences allegedly built to keep out illegals are far more functional as the Fence around the Prison for Former Taxpayers. We can all make basketballs for Obama when he wins in 2012 after the Tea Party brings about the Apocalypse and Republkans take their turn at being blamed for the non-partisan failure of Amerikan Democracy. Enjoy the Labour Day for those unable to find Labour….

Willie, I could not have said it better. It’s over. I’m a maintenance guy. I’ve worked in general maintenance (own my own small company and provide a very valuable service for over 20 years) and it is beyond repair. You can no longer tune it up by tweeking around the edges. The proverbial shit has hit the fan. Everyman for himself. Take care of your good friends, your “fambily”, and your loved ones. Handwriting is on the wall. If everybody would become more self sufficient and help those who aren’t to learn, we could weather this storm. But I truely fear the worst. Hope I’m gone by then.
