A long time ago I believed that America could pull itself out of the quagmire we are in — no more. At one point I believed — sadly — that President Obama could make a difference — no more.

The LA Times has an excellent piece how the Congress has not passed a major piece of social legislation in FOUR DECADES. They admit there will be no health care reform this session — I would say not this generation. It is the U.S. Senate that can and will stop everything based on this 60 vote rule. Now the U.S. Supreme Court has made it even harder to have a fair election in America. Not that election results matter that much anymore.

Four decades is just about how long the decline in America has been proceeding. During those decades Republicans have controlled the government. There has been a couple of interruptions with Carter and Clinton but they accomplished almost nothing. Clinton likes to talk about the economic prosperity but he was complicit in the demise of America as he turned all Republican — just like Obama has.

Yes. Millions of us are disillusioned with BOTH PARTIES. Thinking people HATE Republicans because they are the greediest bastards on the planet. They are happy to destroy this country with their greed and corruption. One Senator, Senator Richard Selby, has no problem shutting down the U.S. Senate in order to fund a pork project in Alabama — the cesspool of the country. This guy is an evil bastard and somebody the Republicans admire.

Meanwhile, Democrats are equally screwed up. There are a few people that want to improve things — government for the people — but the Democrats are loaded with greedy bastards who could easily call themselves Republicans.

There are few people who actually understand that this is the final time for America and it is going down the toilet at a very fast pace. Look at the financial corruption. The food system. The health care. Unemployment. Wars. Climate change. But there will be no solutions from Congress or this President.

Look at people like Justice Thomas who said it wasn’t a good idea to criticize the Supreme Court — but Thomas did not understand the irony in his statement — he wants to let Corporations do anything that people can but now he doesn’t want people to talk — but it is fine with Thomas for corporations to give bags full of money to influence elections. Thomas is a tool of the Republicans and has been for a long time. He is an embarrassment to his race and heritage — he is an idiot and I have to assume he doesn’t realize it or he would change.

Look at people like Sarah Palin whose claim to fame was her figure and legs — she is an idiot and is an embarrassment to millions of smart, intelligent women. Like Thomas, Palin figured out how to take advantage of her opportunities to make lots of money. People like Palin are so completely clueless about the damage they are doing — she is so stupid we can’t even blame her.

How about Glenn Beck ? — this man is pathological — he acts nuts all the time. He goes on his crazed black board talks that make no sense — he is irrational. Yet, there are plenty of people who think he is a good guy. That is probably the saddest thing — millions are not even capable of understanding that Beck is a crazy idiot. What chance does America have? — about as much chance as Germany had in the 1930s.

So, Thomas, Palin, and Beck — this is the future of America. Throw in an Obama whose Presidency is over after just a single year — and he probably thinks he can make a difference — sad is he.
