Indeed, President Obama is now the war President with all this escalation talk in Afghanistan.
I look at not even one year in the White House, and Obama is a gigantic disappointment — still, better than Bush — yet, a gigantic disappointment. There was so much possible with Obama but this guy is obviously more concerned about keeping the status quo than doing the right thing. He probably thinks it will get him reelected but he won’t get my vote again.
First, it was Obama appeasing to Wall Street and all of the give aways — BILLIONS and BILLIONS to banks which were destroying the country financially.
I listened as he said things were going to be different — that people who not lose their houses — that jobs would be created. Exactly which part of that has come true even just a little bit? Unemployment is so bad that it is likely 25% of people unemployed or underemployed. One in Eight Americans need food stamps in order to avoid starving to death. The Bush Tax cuts for the rich are still in place with no hope for getting them reverse. Obama — you are doing one horrible job.
Later it became health care and the deals with health insurance companies, big pharmaceuticals, and all the while screwing ordinary Americans. In the end this Bozo will tell America that it is historic but it will all just be bullshit. Obama is the king of Bullshit. I guess it is much easier to traffic in nonsense than in real change.
No Gitmo closing. No pullout of Iraq. Escalation in Afghanistan. Indeed, Obama is the war President just like so many before him.
America loves their wars and fighting. They love the troops. Well, I don’t love the troops. It is the troops that facilitate all this war. No wonder all the these Presidents love the troops. I love the people who refuse to be troops or quit when they see how they are being used. Go to a Veterans clinic and see all the young people with managed bodies after being a troop.
Yet, with all the sell outs, Obama continues to go on the radio and television and talk progressive. All I hear is Obama is a gigantic disappointment. He could have been a real force for change — now he is just an errand boy for the rich and powerful. So, keep going on your foreign crusades and keep talking all progressive, but to me Obama you are just a fool for letting your election go for nothing. Obama is a joke.

What they never mention is how thanks to an economy driven into an abyss, so many young people are left with two options: join the military or end up on the streets. I know this is true for I know many young people who have joined for that reason.
So this is the scoop…Politicians, wall street bankers and corporate crooks ruin the economy leading to a surge in poverty so profound that the poor are forced into military service. Consequently, the poor end up having to defend a system that helped drive them into poverty in the first place. Talk about a double slap in the face….

The dollar is in a nose dive with no leveling off in sight. Our money simply is becoming worthless by the day. 35 to 45 bucks buys a pile of shit in a single grocery bag. Violence is escalating in our streets at an alarming rate. Glad I don’t live in a big city. As for the Obamanator being an errand boy, I don’t know. I actually think is only their puppet. And I think he enjoys the role. Trillions for banksters, nothing for us!!!! And the only one who went to jail was Madoff. He was simply too blatant. Obama dances to their tune and it is a one note samba. Soon we’ll be begging Jimmy Carter to get back into the game. And Rick, you are right. I was in the Army during Viet Nam. And our Army is comprised almost entirely of very poor people with no other options. They die for the likes of the Obamanator and wall street scum whose sons and daughters attend Ivy League schools and end up working on Wall Street or for defense contractors. Funny that you mentioned Madoff. Something about his conviction struck me as funny and then it hit me. Most of Madoff’s clients had average accounts of around 10 million dollars. On the whole, the average working class stiff and certainly the working poor are not going to accumulate 10 million dollars in assets. Maybe in 10 lifetimes they might. It is thus fair to assume that most of Madoff’s clients were the uber wealthy(and research does point to this). Companies like AIG, Fannie Mae and Freddie engaged in outright fraud so they could make money giving out loans to people that could not afford them. Yet noone from these banks has gone to jail. Seems there are screams of outrage when the rich get screwed but hardly a whisper when its the poor. Now ain’t that the American way.
