For years, it bothered me that America was declining and on a certain path for destruction. I would frequently reflect on better times. I would recall the speech by President Kennedy when he declared America would land on the moon. Years later, I was so excited when America did exactly that. The America of my high school and college graduation was an exciting place with all sorts of wonders and opportunities. But, that America is dead — not even just doomed — it is already dead.
Now, I am reminded that America is over. This is no longer the land of opportunity. This is the land of greed, excess, and lies. It is the land where there is no actual news any more; instead, it has been replaced with media that literally distorts and intentionally lies. For example, Fox News literally went to court and won with the exact argument that there is no law or regulation that requires it to tell the truth. In fact, it can lie about anything it wants and there is nothing anybody can do. And they won, but America lost.
I now hate America and I don’t say this lightly. I really do hate this place. It has devolved into a horrible place where people are unemployed, can’t get or afford health care, the rich-poor divide is increasing, Congress is openly corrupt, the environment has been destroyed, and the growth industries are prisons and drugs used to self-medicate.
You cannot drive down a street or walk into a store without seeing the hate and disgust people have toward one another. People are struggling and there is no hope. The environment is being destroyed, and corporations continue to pollute the food, water, and air. Meanwhile, the worse of the lot talk about family values while denying others “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”
The only good news is that I am now content with America’s fall. I know there is no picking up the pieces. I know it is over for this once proud and productive place. I am content with this. I can now proudly say –
I hate America.
I love it. You finally see it my way. It sounds as though you have given up on socialism. All the better. Socialism combined with capitalism are what got us here. Neither system works and both lead to devestated populations. You seem to be a very nice individual and sometimes I might seem unduly harsh to you. But I am a believer in tough love. “Give a man a fish and he can eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he can eat for a lifetime”. Like the nuns used to say “stir your stumps, boy!” America is a land devoid of nearly everything that matters. Hey! Yes, America is dead with no hope of resurrection. Greed, Excess, and Lies? That is opportunity, if you happen to be a Wall Street, Gubsamunts, Corporate, of Medical asshole. Lots of opportunity for them. Lots. Cancer “Doctors” are especially endowed with “theftability”. Filthy Quacks that they are. But they have “gubsamunts” approval. Rape on, filthy doctors. Who cares about Fox news? Who cares about CNN? If you can’t find the truth using the internet then you too are a basket case. You’re sure right about the growth industries: prisons and drugs to self medicate. legal or otherwise. Do Americans really have disgust and hate for one another? Sure!! Why not. Americans are disgusting. Fat, lardass, diseased pigs that they are. Gross to look and be around many of them smell. Mall walkers!!! HeeeHeeHee!!! Couch potatoes!! Did I spell that right? Where is Dan Qyaule when we need him? And yes, the corporations continue to pollute the air, water, and food, especially the food!!! Why do you think I live like I do? I have a very good life considering that I live on a continental shithole. I plan to leave shortly, if I can sell my house and move to the tropics, maybe Panama or the Dominican Republic. How novel!!!I’ve been content with America’s fall for 15 years now. I live for MYSELF and for my loved ones and good friends. I encourage others to do the same. If everybody watched out for 15 people, we’ed all be covered. Game is plentiful, as is ammunition, even though I don’t eat red meat. I shoot wild hogs and give them to the extremely poor people all over the county. They flourish like the poor are “flourishing’ everywhere in this retard craphole. Someday you and I will meet and be good friends. I’ll serve wild caught shrimp, blue crab, organic vegetables, vitamins, nutrients and supplements. Can’t get any better. Only in the tropics and in a place where technology is still on their wish list, and hopefully remains there for whatever time I have on this planet.
The America of days gone by was a great nation and its fall would have been a tragedy. America now is indeed a cesspool and its collapse which is indeed coming(Lester I too am squirreling away my money as I feel leaving America may not just be smart but necessary for survival)would be a blessing. What good is there in a country where greedy bank execs can bankrupt the nation and divide up the profits while good hardworking people watch their jobs shipped off to China and are left to fighting each other for $7/hr part time jobs? See that article in the NY times the other day where 500 people in Indiana applied for a single $13/hr Administrative Assistant job? Land of opportunity indeed–the opportunity to get screwed by greedy corporations and end up impoverished. America is starting to look more like Zimbabwe every day and who wants to live in Zimbabwe?
