Michael Moore does an excellent job explaining how newspapers slit their own throats. True dat. But American selfishness is also slitting the throat of society.
The important thing about a society which particularly applies to America is that systems are interconnected. If you have a population of poor, uneducated people, they will not be able to survive. If you have a society that privileges the rich, the number of poor will increase. If there is no hope for people to move into the middle class, there will be no middle class. Eventually, society will fail just as many have in history — just as America is failing today.
The interconnected-ness of society if true in every aspect. For example, if people do not have health care then they will get diseases that will be passed through society. If there is no treatment, others will suffer. You will end up building walls around poverty to keep the disease contained — just as they have done in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. There is really no alternative to health care for all — at least not in a society that wants to sustain itself and thrive.
But the selfishness of American society is breathtaking. More and more people think they can suppress the disenfranchised and still thrive. They think businesses can grow without a middle class that can consume their products. In fact, the very definition of the middle class is that they have disposable income that can be used on non-essential products. If society is reduced to only essentials then will be no economic growth. This is the reason that essential products should be available to everybody — there is no advantage of a poverty class. In fact, an ever-increasing poverty class will destroy the country. The rich Republicans should think about that when they vote against living wages and essential services for everybody.
America is doomed.
I enjoyed Michael’s video. He shure missed the nail’s head on this one. His stats are probably OK, especially the ones as to how many illiterate and “ignunt” people now inhabit Americer (I say AmericER so that people think I might know a sacred Kennedy. I say Cuber, too for the same reason). But his conclusions are irrational. All of the idiots and illits are springing forth from “gubsamunts” HI! Skrools. The “gubsamunts” diseducation system has produced idiots and illits, not the Repukikans. Catholic schools, Jewish schools, and secular private schools wouldn’t tolerate the garbage that the Pubic HI Skrools crank out. And money isn’t the answer. Washington DC spends more than any other school district or state in the country on ejeemakashun, but consistantly has both the highest dropout rate and the lowest SAT scores of all. DC spends over $13,000/pupil/year. In contrast, South Dakota spends about $3200/pupil/year and consistantly scores the highest on SATs. Washington DC is a mecca of liberal programs, especially welfare. South Dakota isn’t. South Dakota exhibits good heartland values, DC is a crack ghetto and crime cesspool. I would bet that some DNA testing in the Washington area might suprise many of the residents as to their lineage, especially their paternity. But DC has recieved more “gubsamunts” help than S Dakota could ever wish for. They get more Food Stamps, Welfare, heating assistance, Aid to Mothers with Dependant Children, Blah, blah, blah. It is a bottomless pit of largesse and cess. Every dollar spent there is throwing good money after bad, just like in Detroilet (same scenario). It seems that the more the losers are given, the more dependant and helpless they become. Look at the aftermath of Katrina. After all of the stores were looted, they simply ran out of ideas. Lets rape and murder. It’ll be fun. No responsability for themselves, their families, or their loved ones. Just helplessness and violence. “Where’s my free water”? “Where’s my government water?” Didn’t even think to fill up or buy a few gallons ahead of time, but they attended gubsamunts Hi!Skrools. There they were taught “touch feely” worthless crap. Self esteem crap. Feel good even though your stupid and illiterate. They weren’t taught how to think or how to act. They were taught that we are all equal, not under the law, but “the same”. I call it DumbaKrap “sameness” doctrine. Stupid radical egalitarians like the DumbaKraps teach that equality equals sameness. I’m not the same nor am I equal to those pathetic losers waiting for “gubsamunts” FEMA water. I own a reverse osmosis filter so I would have made lots of clean water for my survival. OH SHIT, I’m a survivalist!!!!A gun toting white nut!!!! Do they teach obout reverse osmosis in “gubsamunts” HI! Skrools? As for disease interconnectedness in society, don’t count on that as a given. Disease (contageous) spreads amoung the unhealthy, not the healthy. The type of diseases that are wreaking havoc on the US are preventable, chronic diseases like lardassism, diabetes, Alzhiemer’s, Cardio-Vascular, etc… Not swine flu. Swine flu is a joke and another “gubsamunts” diversion. 90% of the diseases plagueing the USA are largely preventable and curable through diet, exercise, and supplementation. Nutriceuticals, not pharmaceuticals are what are needed, and they cost nearly nothing. I agree that we all need health care that is affordable, but disease management only gives people a “feeling” (touchy feeling learned in Hi Skrool) of false security. People need to take control of their health, not turn it over to quacks or the “gubsamunts”. You are correct about the middle class. It has been decimated in the land of the not so free and will probably not return without some type of “radical shift”. The jobs have been exported abroad.America is already a land of gated communities designed to protect the rich and keep the riff raff out. To the gubsamunts, there is a great advantage of a poverty class. They are easy to control. They are controlled through the myriad of handouts that create dependancy. “Fuck up and you lose your rent assistanc!!!” “We’ll pull your food stamps and you’ll starve in the street”!!!! The government is bullshit with a capital B. And one moore for Michael “more”, the reason European and Asian newspapers sell isn’t because of good reporting of the news. It is becuase they plaster every page with mostly naked women and tabloid smut stories that we get to watch on TV here in AmeriKa. I mean, a typical newspaper in Rio will have a picture of a girls naked ass with the headline, “Is this one perfect?” On page 3 they will note that a bomb went off in Madrid and killed some hot chicks, then show more pictures of the hot, naked Spanish chicks while they lament the loss.
