Michael Moore is a great film maker, American, and humanitarian — now he has another great film — about my favorite subject — failed capitalism.

Michael Moore’s “Capitalism: A Love Story” Premieres In Venice To Great Reviews.

There is no doubt that American capitalism has failed — the private system has not created any net new jobs for the last 10 years — millions of jobs were even lost in the current financial crisis — these jobs are not coming back.  It will take decades to just get back to the employment levels prior to this current crisis — not even accounting for the population growth.

America needs an entirely new economic model.  The current one rewards greed and corruption to privilege the few at the expense of the many.   Many people, increasing all the time, with full time jobs cannot survive in this economy.  Young people cannot find jobs even after getting a high quality and expensive education.  America is literally witnessing a melt down in the political and social fabric of the country.

Meanwhile, Republicans are the party of the status quo — no, no, no to any proposals.  They don’t want to change anything because they are already rich and comfortable.  The Republicans who are not rich are either stupid or religious — and frequently both.

If health care reform fails to truly reform a dysfunctional system, there will be an even greater outcry from the streets.  There will be marches on Washington DC and every other large city in the country.  People understand the consequences of no health care reform and they are going to be pissed.   The Republicans are so stupid they think this will be a great victory to defeat health care reform.

America is doomed.

Amen!! Your analysis is keen. Capitalism has failed, as has Communism and Socialism (look at Russier ‘Kennedy DumbaKrap pronunciation’ and England) So what really works. I wish Michael Moore would make a movie called “Lardass, a hate story”. Then I could respect him moore (pun intended). Everybody hates Lardasses. They sweat too much, stink too much, eat too much, let off too many exhaust gasses, breath too much oxygen to support their Goo, exhale to many green house gasses, take too many twinkies from the mouths of starving African babes. Lardasses are bad news. They epitomize the waste and excesses that have become America. If Michael really wanted to make the world better, he’d drop tonnage and donate the “savings” i.e. food, oxygen, fuel (takes more to move lardass girth and heft around), big pharma dope, waddling time, etc… to the unwahsed masses. Then he really would be GREAT! He’d be greater than Kellogg’s KornFlakes. Right now he IS just kind of a kornflake, and a rather large one at that. How many starving Afreakan children could we feed on just what MiKe consumes in a day to satiate his blubber butt? If he would lose some lard, his eyesight would improve (I’m sure he sufferes from diabetic retinopathy) and he could donate his dorky looking “Army glasses” to Rwanda or Zimbabwe. Doesn’t he Care? Isn’t he willing to make this one little sacrifice “for the children”? I am an agnostic. As for my stepfather, he was a very religious, very educated MD with a specialty in Radiology. (Although I still consider the practice of Allopathy as Quackery) He was very educated, but very misguided by modern medical myth. I just don’t get the connection with religion other than the fact that you hate religion and think all people should agree with your distorted views. But you only seem to hate Repukikan Christianity. I haven’t seen any written tirades against Hinduism, Islam, Budhism, Zoroastrianism, or Afreakan and Haitian Voodoo (nor agianst the Reverends Al Shartoon or Jesse Jacksoon). You’ve never mentioned Bubba Bob Clintstone after he jizzed on Trailer Park Paula turning “to religous spirituality”, with the Rev Jacksoon as spiritual advisor in chief. Just seems that you don’t like to extend the same privelege of being a stupid religous idiot to Repukikans. I guess just the “religious left” gets to be religion nuts. Hmmmmmm. As for people being pissed about no health care reform, don’t count on it. They are watching what happens with Tila Tequila and her stud, and dancing with the stars. Bread and circi, my friend.

One other comment. I just noticed the title of your blog article. “only a mother could love such a bastard”. I wish more “socialist welfare mammies” would learn to love their bastards. Maybe then we wouldn’t have to build so many prisons to house them in (that’s real government housing for you, real socialist shit). If they could even identify any of the fathers, maybe they could learn to love their bastards too. And straighten out their fucked up, drug addicted, felonious lives and take care of their bastards so that we wouldn’t even need socialism. ” I have a dream……”
