Taking a little time off handling some personal stuff for my 83 year old Mother. It is making me more pissed off about the American health care system and the idiots in Washington that want to keep the for profit medical insurance paradigm.
America is doomed.
In truth, immediately i didn’t understand the essence. But after re-reading all at once became clear.
Hope all goes well with your mom. I can relate since I am more or less a care provider these days for my 80 year old dad. I have missed your posts lately. Have you considered writing a book on your economic insights? There are plenty of sites now(lulu.com comes to mind) that allows for self publishing at virtually no cost. You can even purchase for around 50 dollars or so an ISBN number so your work can be sold through amazon and barnes and noble. More books need to be available that dare to challenge our blind allegiance to this pure capitalist model that is sending the world back to feudalism. I look forward to your future posts
Hope your mother does better. I went through this with my mother and barffed on a daily basis when dealing with “dealing” doctors. The system is so transparent to anyone with even elementary knowledge of biology, anatomy,nutrition, and general health principles like getting sufficient quality sleep and sufficient exercise. Doctors love invalids, though. In fact, they like to create them. They doped my mother so much she fell out of chairs, down stairs, and overdosed alot on the myriad of medications that these alchemist quacks prescribed to sedate her for over 10 years. And of all her falling down and passing out led to furhter “bidnuss”, i.e. ambulance rides at $1200 a whack, surgery, hip implants and replacements. “Bidnuss” was good for the quacks until they finally gave her so many pills that they killed the golden egg laying goose. Protect your mother from quackery. Get 2nd and 3rd opinions, (even if they are only opinions from other quacks and sorcerors. Sometimes one of them hits the nail near the head) or even better, do what you can to keep her away from the sorcerors and allopthic alchemist quacks.
