Election Not Over Four Months Later

On March 30, 2009, in doomed, by admin

Another data point on just how doomed America is can be found in the unsettled Senatorial election from Minnesota.  Even though a Minnesota appeals court is expected to declare that Franken prevailed in the next few days, Texas Senator John Cornyn is calling for “World War III” if the Senate tries to seat Franken.  Some think Federal election appeals could go on for years.

Moreover, there are also dozens of cases floating in the courts that contest Obama being President on the grounds that he was not born in the U.S.  They contest Obama’s Hawaiian birth certificate even though it has been repeatedly certified.

After hundreds of years of election, apparently the U.S. cannot even hold elections and decide on who has won.  This says nothing about the Republican tactics to suppress vote throughout the country during every election.  Republicans have no principals other than to maintain their power, perpetuate their greed, and guarantee the ultimate destruction of America.

What is more fundamental to America than elections?

America is doomed.

Stupid Rep Bachmann

On March 29, 2009, in doomed, by admin

Every time Rep Bachmann, 6th district of Minnesota, gets into trouble opening her stupid mouth, I am reminded she has limited education.  Yet, the people of the 6th district have elected her twice.

It is always interesting to publish data points of why America is so doomed.  Rep Bachmann is an excellent data point.  This person is a complete idiot.  Let’s review.  Bachmann said that the liberal members of Congress should be invested for being un-American — she has probably never read the Constitution.  Even after those remarks she was reelected.  More recently she has said that people of this country need to be “armed and dangerous” fighting against the liberals.  She is nuts.  Bachmann purposed legislation to keep the American dollar because she didn’t understand that the discussion was whether the U.S. dollar would continued to be an international reserve currency — nobody has ever suggested dumping the US dollar as the US currency.  She is an idiot.

Yet, Bachmann is a Congresswoman from Minnesota.  So, people of the 6th District, as you keep voting for this idiot, just remember you helped destroy America.

America is doomed.

Jim Cramer’s Worst

On March 28, 2009, in doomed, by admin

Over a year before the financial meltdown, when the DOW was at 13,455, Jim Cramer attacks NY Attorney General Cuomo, calling him a COMMUNIST.  So, what did Cuomo do?

Cuomo was sounding the alarm about the impending sub-prime crisis and was trying to avert the ultimate demise of the mortgage markets than would happen just a year later.  Cuomo wanted to shutdown the mortgage market but Cramer was exalting the system that would completely fail a year later.  Cramer should immediately be taken off the air — he is an arrogant idiot.  He should not only apologize to every listener of CNBC but should go somewhere and hide forever.

Jon Stewart attacked Jim Cramer but didn’t even use the clip below which is the most damaging clip against the insanity that is Jim Cramer.

This is an excellent example of what is wrong with America.

America is doomed.

Federal Government Bankruptcy

On March 27, 2009, in doomed, by admin

There is lots of talk about bankrupting the Federal government.  The Republicans say that Obama’s spending will bankrupt the Federal government.  This is misleading and suggests that Republican tax cuts cannot bankrupt the country. In fact, if spending can bankrupt the Federal government then so can tax cuts.    You can always bankrupt the country by decreasing taxes to the point that the taxes cannot pay for the spending, even if spending is decreased.  This is exactly what the Republicans have done. In fact, since the last budget surplus under Clinton, it has been the tax cuts that have contributed greatly to the massive deficit spending of George W Bush — plus a couple of idiotic wars.

In fact, since the Father of the Great Deficits, Ronald Reagan, started creating massive annual deficits, the Republicans have done a marvelous job of bankrupting the country with tax cuts.  Reagan got the ball rolling but lots of other Presidents continued to roll the ball down the hill of bankruptcy.  In fact, just yesterday the congressional Republicans came out with their own budget proposal which was largely just tax cuts, resulting in massive deficit spending.  Sure, keep cutting those taxes Republicans and you are certain to bankrupt the country.

So, spending and taxes are just two sides to the same coin.  The poor want to spend and the rich want to cut taxes.  Sorry — there are now lots more poor people in America.

For years Republicans have cut taxes and pushed the country into massive deficits — nearly $11 TRILLION when George W Bush left office.  Virtually all of that debt during Republican administrations and only Clinton ever had years where there was no annual deficit.  During those years of massive deficits, the Republicans’ strategy was to get the country so much in debt that the only choice (so they thought) would be to cut spending, particularly social program spending.  The Republicans never dreamed that the Democrats would be willing to spend on social programs regardless of deficits.  Well. Welcome to the world of spend it even if you don’t have it — because if you spend it you will get it.  This is just the opposite argument that the Republicans have been making for decades.

Well.  Surprise. Surprise.  Democrats don’t care about deficits.  Democrats care about people.  Democrats care about social programs to help people.  Republicans care about money and preserving their wealth.  However, Republicans overplayed their hand and have created a massive number of poor or nearly poor people who voted for Democrats.  Democrats have reached critical mass and, sadly for Republicans, there is no stopping it now.  At least not until the middle class is restored and people believe they are paying too much taxes for the services they are getting.    For now, nearly half of Americans don’t make living wage salaries so things like universal health care and social safety nets are pretty important to them.

I am not really much of a Democrat because I believe the country has plenty of money to accomplish everything it needs to accomplish — it just has to completely redistribute the wealth among all the people.  For me, I would tax 100% of all income above $1 million.   If that didn’t raise enough taxes then I would keep lowering the 100% bracket until there was enough money to fund all the social and infrastructure programs necessary to employ every American who needed a job.  There would be universal health care and enough safety nets that people would not have to worry about housing, food, health care, or any basic necessities.   Work weeks would be decreased until there were plenty of jobs available.  Wages would be increased until every full time worker was making a living wage.

Sadly, Obama, contrary to the Republicans’ chant, is not a socialist.  Obama thinks the country’s economic system can be save.  However, Obama is wrong.  This country’s system cannot be saved and trying to save it will mean certain destruction.  For that, the Republicans are right.  However, Republicans are wrong to think that tax cuts can save the country.  It will as certainly destroy America as well.  The only thing that can save America is socialism but there are few who are ready to embrace that yet.  But it will happen in time.  For now …

America is doomed.

Now that the 2008 Presidential election is months old and the statistics are all finished, it is interesting to look back at the results and highlight the major trends.

  • Obama won among all races, except White; however, Whites constitutes 74% of voters.
  • Obama won among all religion, except Protestant; however, Protestants constitutes 54% of voters.
  • Obama won among all age groups, except 65 years or older which constituted 16% of voters.
  • Obama won among all regions, except the South which constituted 32% of voters.
  • Obama won among educated voters.
  • Obama lost to people who own guns.

Thus, McCain’s core constituents were elderly southern white protestants who are stupid and own guns.  It is a group that has suspended reason in favor of mythology and have the greatest chance of dying before the next election.  It is a group that already gets a disproportionate share of government aid via social security, medicare, and largely does not work.  This group has universal health care and, apparently, doesn’t care that the rest of the country does not.  This group is more likely to blow your head off. This group is largely socialistic but conservative in ideology — of course, they are stupid.

That’s right, the group that favored McCain is already socialistic, being supported with government programs for both income and health care.  Yet, they want to deny the rest of the population the same benefits.  This group doesn’t care about climate change because they are going to die before that is a problem.  As my father says, these people are selfish bastards who need to die already — they are just wasting space.  This group represents the culmination of an American life of selfish greed — hardly the greatest generation.

The future doesn’t look good for Republican constituents.  Whites are continuing to decrease.  The country is  becoming less religious, particularly among younger voters.  Republicans have lost all regions, except the South, and there is no signs of Republican increases in any region.  The only age group where Republicans have an advantage is dying fastest. Republicans are stupidly opposed to abortion which results in more non-Republican births. Republicans also do poorly among educated voters which is why they are opposed to education and do best in the worst educated states in the nation.  Keep teaching that creationism!

Looks like Republicans have a difficult job going forward.
