Ninety percent of the people who voted for McCain were white.  Obama won by more votes than all the non-white people who voted for McCain.   This should be a gigantic wake up call for the Republicans — get diversified or become irrelevant.  The Republicans have a lot of rebuilding to do to stop being a regional party of white people without new ideas.  In order to become viable, the Republicans will have to embrace ideas of the Democratic Party.

Instead, today one republican mused that since Gay marriage was defeated in three states that the new Republican party should be built around a “defense of marriage” idea.  That is probably the best way to render the Republicans irrelevant for a long time.  Gay marriage is going to happen.  It is sad that it didn’t happen this year, particularly in California, but it was because the message against Gay marriage was intended to make people afraid.  This is the typical way that Republicans win elections.  They may have won this battle but they will not win the war.  In fact, the California Supreme Court may rule the election proposition to be unconstitutional since you cannot pass a law to deny a “fundamental right”.  It would be like passing a law to ban free speech and it probably something that the Republicans would love to do.

The Republicans have been rallying around an anti-abortion agenda for three decades and now the vast majority of Americans want to keep abortion legal.  It will be kept legal.  Palin didn’t even want to be on the same platform as pro-choice GOP candidates until the McCain campaign told her to do it.     Meanwhile, Jindal and Huckabee, two other crazy pro-life candidates, are off to Iowa to begin the 2012 campaign.

Remember the Republican convention this summer?  It was a bunch of white people who got all excited about Palin.  In the end they lost big.  These people don’t represent America.  They only represent a fringe that believes in rich people and hateful religious mythology.

Gay Marriage will happen — it is just a matter of time.  But if Republicans want to go down with the ship trying to convince America that Gay Marriage is wrong, then good luck with that.

Palin is calling her Republican critics cowards and jerks as stories leak out about the Sister Sarah.  Palin was the one that constantly said, “Who is the real Barack Obama?”, and accused Obama of “paling around with terrorists”.  The number of threats against Obama increased as a result of Palin’s vitriol.  As a result, nobody is feeling sorry for Palin being picked on.  Palin is a hateful, narrow-minded person.

Even worse, one Republican after another assured America that Palin was qualified to be President during the campaign — even people who are now coming out with stories about her incompetence.  This speaks volume about the Republican party who will say ANYTHING during a campaign to get elected.  “Country First” was Orwellian.  Republicans claim to be the party of “values”.  Another Lie.

Ironically, Democrats are the people who believe in second chances.  They understand that people make mistakes and can change.  Democrats believe in education and intelligence.  It would be a democrat that would argue to give Palin another chance.  Yet, she represents a party who believes in “shooting their wounded”.

There are TEN MILLION AMERICANS who want jobs and cannot find them.  That is the HIGHEST it has been in TWENTY FIVE YEARS.  That translates into FORTY MILLION people live in households where somebody needs a job.   This does not count all the families who do not make enough money to live on; if it did, the number would be SEVENTEEN MILLION.  Make no mistake, the number of unemployed is horrible and is going to get much worse.

By the way, forget about the stupid “unemployment rate” which is a worthless and misleading number.  It only keeps track of the number of people who are still collecting unemployment insurance.  Once the unemployment insurance runs out, usually in six months, the person is no longer consider unemployed.  This is nothing more than a political number that cannot keep rising because people either get jobs or they drop off automatically.

Before this financial crisis hits bottom, the US and most of the world will be in a full scale GLOBAL DEPRESSION.  America is fortunate to have elected Obama as President because the pain will be less — but, there still will be lots of pain.

Happy Days for Democrats — a new poll shows that 64% of Republicans want Palin to be their nominee in 2012.  Holy Batman, Obama will be President for eight years.  It is four years from now — maybe she should go to college (this time — do your assignments) or even a decent high school.

Who said Republicans couldn’t be more stupid than nominating McCain — Vice President nominees on losing tickets have such a great track record in the US.

One thing about the Republican Party, they will do anything not to nominate somebody of color, like Governor Bobby Jindal.  And, they don’t think much of Mormons either, like Governor Mitt Romney.  Bring on Sister Sarah — the Wacko from Alaska.

Undoubtedly, Sister Sarah will be Senator Sarah after Senator FELONY Stevens is kicked out of the Senate.
