Is it my imagination or is Obama getting even better at media? Obama’s 30 minute infomerical was amazing today and his speech with Bill Clinton afterwards may have been the best politcal speech I have ever heard. In the infomerical, Obama told stories of real Americans that millions of people could identify with. He described what has happened to America — the America of decades past — and it wasn’t pretty. Things have gotten worse in just about every area of America — wars, health care, jobs, retirement, etc. I am very cyncial about America but Obama gives me hope. Only time will tell if Obama can deliver on his proposals. If he can, there may be a chance for America.
Look around and you will see republicans melting down everywhere.
Drudge Reports has one misleading headline after another, day after day, and these talking points are picked up by every republican talking head.
For example, right now they claim Gallup is showing a 3% race for Obama. The real truth is that Gallup has three different polls: Registered (Obama +9%), Likely Traditional (Obama+3%) and Likely Expanded (Obama +6%). Drudge Reports only uses the one showing McCain behind the least. This is hardly a traditional election.
Elizabeth Dole is lying about her opponent with a disgraceful ad that Kay Hagen doesn’t believe in god.
McCain has come out with an ad saying Obama is tied to Muslims.
Limbaugh is crying like a child that Obama is going to win — with a heavy dose of “I told you so”.
Hannity is just comical with one accusation after another. He doesn’t speak about issues — just blasting Obama — socialist, communist, Muslim — you name it.
Is there nothing that republicans won’t say or do in this election?
Republicans should be scared because Obama is going to change America in a way that the MAJORITY of Americans want it changed. He raised money from millions of regular Americans who contributed less than $100 each on average. Obama is going to raise taxes on the rich and the MAJORITY of Americans will be cheering.
So, republicans, keep bashing Obama with all the hateful lies. It hasn’t done you very well so far and it is likely to just make the Obama victory even greater.
Only six more days and it will be President-Elect Obama.
Elizabeth Dole has faked audio that her opponent, Kay Hagan, does not believe in god. Only in America would somebody who “claims” to be a christian, attack their opponent for not believing in god. Only in America would anybody give a shit about somebody not believing in god. Just another great example of why religion is evil. People like Dole and Palin use their religion to lie about everything to gain advantage over stupid people who believe in magical thinking.
Republicans frequently play the god card because there are so many religious wackos in this country who consistently vote against their self interest and for mythological superstitions. Really, if you can believe religious bullshit, you will believe any old thing that evil, greedy politicians will tell you. For example, free enterprise is best for the majority of people — a fact that has been proven false many times and a recently as America’s financial crisis.
The only way out of America’s problems is with rational thought seeking the best solutions for all the people. God won’t help and never has done anything other than to divide people to the point of wars and terror. This is no hope for America if a majority of people was willing to forgo their rational thoughts. Magical thinking got us to this point and will lead us right off the cliff.

This is shocking but BDI (Baltic Dry Index) is down 76% in a month; its high was 4949 and it has come down to 1149 in a month; it is down 90% since May. What does this mean? BDI tracks the cost of global shipping and a decline of this magnitude indicates that global trade has not just declined it has evaporated — in a month.
Let’s just call it a GLOBAL DEPRESSION right now.

Today, the consumer confidence number was announced to be 38 — the lowest number EVER recorded. That is the type of number that DEPRESSIONS are made out of. Meanwhile, the DOW is currently up 200 and Wall Street is expecting their personal bitch, the FED, to lower rates again tomorrow. Such policies keep penalizing people with savings so they will worship at the altar of American materialism.
