Take Responsibility and Keep It to Yourself

On July 14, 2008, in doomed, by admin

Before anybody tells somebody to “Take Responsibility” he should be reminded there are lots of people in this country taking responsibility and getting fucked.

How about the young person who graduates from college with good grades and can’t find a job.  Or, can find a job but makes too little to support himself?  Yes,  he took responsibility and got screwed.

How about the person who paid his health insurance premium faithfully and finds out that his health insurance companies considers every dime they pay out as a “loss”.  Meanwhile, the health insurance companies refuses to pay for treatment, does not authorize treatment, or lies repeatedly.  Yes, he took responsibility and got screwed.

How about the person who took responsibility and saved for retirement and put their money in a “super safe” CD at a bank and finds out that the bank no longer is able to pay him his money back.  “Sir, we can give you 50 cents on the dollar because our executives were greedy fucks and ran the company into the ground”.  Yes, the retiree acted responsibly and got screwed.

How about the person who commits a crime and is sent to prison.  He takes responsibility and serves his time.  When he gets out he cannot find a job and is never able to live down his crime.  Seems to me all crimes are for life.  Why does it surprise us that most people who commit crimes, commit more crimes. He learns the lesson that once you screw up and go to jail, you are fucked forever even if you take responsibility.

Bottom line …

Taking responsibility is a crutch that people use to ciriticize other people for not doing what the person thinks they should do.

Fuck responsibility.  If, If, If, If, If you want to take responsibility then do it for yourself and quit telling others about it.

Banking Collapse

On July 14, 2008, in doomed, by admin

Friday, we had Freddie and Fannie insolvent.  Then we had Indy-max taken over by FDIC.  Then a possible bailout announced for Freddie and Fannie because nobody can let them fail or all the cards immediately come tumbling down.  Today, we have Washington Mutual trading like its is about to be taken over by FDIC.   Then, there’s Lehman is deep trouble and the government saying there will be no more bailouts.  Why?  The US is running out of their ability to actually bail anybody out.  Yes, really!

You don’t think this is a disaster?

Well … read this.

Meanwhile, the dollar is plunging because the US debt is going to rise even more rapidly because of all the money being spent to bail out Freddie, Fannie, etc. etc.

That means oil will be going higher … $150 is a slam dunk … here comes $200.  I’m just waiting for OPEC to say that will be valuing oil in Euros or, even worse, GOLD.  All hell would break lose then.

Flash. Flash.  Great news.  The Feds just passed regulations to prevent predatory loan practices.  Yeah.  Only a decade too late.

Hey Bush.  How’s your violin playing today?  Oh.  That’s right, you are about to go on the TV and allow for offshore drilling because oil in 5 years is really the big problem right now.  How about a photo op with Cheney pumping gas into this Hummer — caption: there’s plenty of oil.

Oh, somebody get a memo to McCain (we know it won’t be Phil Gramm) that we might be having something more than a “mental recession”.

Pissed at Obama over Single Payer Health Care

On July 14, 2008, in doomed, by admin

I thought Obama was the man until he started moving to the center after securing the democratic nomination.  Apparently, others agree.

I will vote for Nader in a heartbeat and hope my vote makes it so Obama loses the election.  Don’t give me the bullshit that it just lets McCain be President.  I do not give a shit.  I will not vote for anybody that doesn’t support my views and right now the only person out there is Ralph Nader.  Let the fucking republicans win again, particularly if Obama is just republican-light.

Obama is not for a single payer health care system even though he once was. Then, fuck him, and if you want to see just how fucked up Obama is on health care look at the only physician organization that supports single payer.   There is even a comparison of both McCain and Obama on their health care proposals.  Bottom line: both McCain and Obama are in bed with the insurance companies.  So, fuck them both.

Maybe McCain is just what America needs — another four years of fucking Bush and Cheney bullshit as they destroy the country.

More Money for Shareholders

On July 13, 2008, in doomed, by admin

Everybody knew Freddie Mac and Fannie May would get bailed out.  Nobody wants to hold the big companies responsible because the 5 Trillion dollar mortgages are all guaranteed by the Feds.  The bill is apparently $300 Billion but I suspect that might not be enough since this Depression scenario is just getting started.

Yet … this is bullshit that the shareholder equity is being protected.

This bailout is structured to protect shareholder equity which has NOTHING to do with making the system function.  What not let their equity go to zero?   The reason is we have to keep fucking Wall Street happy.  And, of course, in fucking America that is all we care about.

I have been hearing one conservative after another saying that the homeowners who took the subprime loans need to be held responsible.   Meanwhile, millions of foreclosures.  Fuck the homeowners.  Yet, that responsibility doesn’t extend to the companies who made billions in fees selling these ridiculous mortgage products.

Thus, fuck the homeowners while the big shareholders and the big companies get off with not even a slap on the wrist.

Great to be living in fucking America where we have the best Congress Wall Street money can buy.

Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.

Fuck you ABC

On July 13, 2008, in doomed, by admin

Just read this piece of shit that somebody at ABC thinks is journalism.  It refers to the conservative asshole of the week, Phil Gramm, who thinks the country is a bunch of “whiners”.  Fuck you Phil Gramm with your cushy job as vice-chairman of UBS.  Fuck you Phil Gramm with your every need met in this country.  Fuck you. Fuck you.

In this country, there are plenty of people doing just fine.  Turns out.  I am one of them.  I have a place to live, have reasonable comforts, food, etc.

But …

You have to be a complete moron asshole to not realize that people are suffering throughout the country and the suffering is getting worse.  Fuck you Phil Gramm who thinks it is a “mental recession”.  Let’s take all of your money away and let’s see if you whine a bit.  Your are a god damn pious son of a bitch.

The article says that we had cheap gas recently.   To people with means gas is still fucking cheap.  I don’t consider not going somewhere because of the price of gas.  It could double again and I would still feel the same way.  But, again for the pious assholes in the country, there are people who make minimum wage who are suffering in so many ways because of the price of gas and other goods as the gas price ripples through the economy.  And yes, according to government reports there is no fucking inflation even though corn and wheat have doubled and gas is up 700% in the last seven fucking Bush years.  Why?  Because the assholes who compute the inflation rate are bought and paid for by the same fucking government that causes all the problem.

Bush and McCain says send the boys to Iraq and keep them there.  Meanwhile, I heard there is only ONE child of a Congressman currently serving in Iraq.

I suggest we have a US policy that there will never be another war until at least 66% of all military eligible sons, daughters, and grandchildren of Congressmen are in the military going to war.  If the war is really worth fighting it shouldn’t be a problem getting all those privledged children to enlist.
